As research continues, we will continue to improve RIKI™ and related measurements, making them better predictors of ability to pay. Obviously, the dictionaries to identify types of transactions will continue to grow, so that transaction classification will continue to improve. Other active areas of research include whether financial quantities other than cash flow should be included, and if so, with what weighting, and how best to exclude atypical transactions.
Borrowers’ RIKI™ numbers may change slightly due to ongoing dictionary development and statistical adjustment, as recognition of discretionary spending becomes steadily more accurate, dealing with newly named businesses and the like. If there are substantial changes in the way RIKI™ is computed, earlier version(s) will remain available as long as there is demand, so that users’ systems calibrated to RIKI™ will remain reliable.
